Helen Shapiro (Born In 1946) – “You Don’t Know”
A 2022 article published by Far Out Magazine recalled how Helen Shapiro accompanied “The Beatles” during their first tour in the United States. But while the Fab Four remains arguably the world’s best-known music group, there are still many people who don’t know who Shapiro is.
An English pop singer, she topped the charts at the young age of fourteen with songs such as “You Don’t Know” and “Walkin’ Back to Happiness.” She sold millions of records in the early ’60s (a definite achievement for the time) and, even though she’s not as famous as she used to be, she still performs her pop-jazz tunes live today.
