Sprite Brings Back Fan-Favorite Vanilla Frost Flavor for the Holidays
Sprite fans have learned to pay attention during the holidays, because that’s when the brand likes to add special flavors onto shelves. This season, one of its most talked-about releases is back, and it’s already sending shoppers on a soda scavenger hunt.
Vanilla Frost has returned just in time for holiday gatherings. The only catch is that finding it takes some effort, and that challenge is part of why the buzz feels louder this year.
A Holiday Flavor That Didn’t Stay Gone Long

Sprite Vanilla Frost first appeared last winter and quickly built a following. The soda keeps Sprite’s familiar lemon-lime base but softens it with vanilla for a smoother, dessert-leaning taste. It isn’t heavy or creamy, just rounder and slightly sweeter than the original. For the 2025 holiday season, Sprite brought it back as part of its winter lineup.
Where You Can Actually Buy It
Availability is where things get tricky. Sprite Vanilla Frost is now exclusive to Kroger in the United States. This includes Kroger-owned chains such as Ralphs, Fry’s, and Harris Teeter. Shoppers can find it in 12-pack cans and 20-ounce bottles, dressed in holiday-themed packaging. The limited retail footprint has been a sticking point for fans who live outside Kroger’s coverage.
Some have spotted the soda online through third-party sellers, including listings at Walmart with noticeably higher prices. Those listings offer an option for determined fans, but they are not part of Sprite’s official distribution. The soda is expected to stay on shelves through early February 2026, as long as supplies last.
Part of a Bigger Holiday Soda Trend
Sprite isn’t alone in leaning into seasonal flavors. The holidays have become prime time for limited-edition sodas, with brands rotating festive releases year after year. Sprite’s Winter Spiced Cranberry remains a seasonal staple, and Vanilla Frost complements it nicely by offering a softer contrast to the spiced flavors.
