Oreo Has Dropped a Reese’s Filled Cookie, and It Is a Dream Come True
This food collaboration took a while, but it finally came. Oreo and Reese’s have teamed up to bring a peanut butter–filled Oreo cookie that feels overdue. After years of fans stacking, dunking, and mashing the two snacks together at home, the brands decided to make it official.
The new cookie started rolling out in the United States in late 2025 and quickly became one of the most talked-about snack launches of the year. It is clearly labeled as a limited edition, which only adds to the urgency around grabbing a pack while it is still on shelves.
What Makes This Oreo Different
The cookie uses classic Oreo chocolate wafers, so there is no visual curveball. The surprise sits in the center. Instead of the usual vanilla creme, Oreo swapped in a Reese’s peanut butter filling blended with Oreo cookie crumbs.
Oreo and Reese’s have crossed paths before in limited promotions and seasonal treats, but this release uses a new filling formulation rather than recycling an existing one.
It also stands out because the two brands sit under different parent companies, which makes the partnership more complex than a typical in-house mashup.
How Fans Pushed This Into Reality
This cookie did not come out of nowhere. For years, people have been posting homemade Oreo and Reese’s combinations online, breaking cookies apart and stuffing them with peanut butter cups or dipping Oreos directly into Reese’s jars.
The brands noticed. Teasers started appearing when Oreo and Reese’s accounts followed each other and traded comments online. By the time the cookie was confirmed, the hype had already begun to build.
The Oreo Reese’s Cookie began appearing at major grocery retailers and online platforms between August and September 2025. Like most Oreo limited editions, there is no firm end date. Availability depends on inventory, and once it is gone, it is gone for now.
There is good news for anyone who misses this initial run. Oreo has already confirmed the cookie is scheduled to return as part of its broader lineup in January 2026.
