Krispy Kreme Introduces a Brand New Spring Basket Collection
Krispy Kreme’s Spring Basket Collection, an Easter-themed seasonal release, launched on March 24 at participating locations across the United States. The company marketed it as a seasonal offering, meaning it will only be available for a short period leading up to Easter.
Shoppers planning baskets or group gatherings suddenly have a ready-made option that feels themed without requiring extra effort. Alison Holder, the company’s Chief Brand and Product Officer, framed it as a way to add something extra to Easter celebrations, which aligns with the brand’s typical approach to holiday releases.
Customers can walk into stores, order through the Krispy Kreme app or website for pickup or delivery, or find select six-pack versions at retail partners.
The Three Doughnuts That Define The Collection
At the center of the release are three new doughnuts, each designed to match the Easter theme without drifting too far from the brand’s core flavors.
The Easter Egg Basket Doughnut leans into the classic Krispy Kreme formula. It starts with the Original Glazed base, then adds vanilla-flavored buttercreme, a coating of decorative sugar, and a small candy egg on top.
The Strawberry Egg Doughnut uses an unglazed shell, packs it with white Kreme, and finishes it with strawberry icing and vanilla drizzle. This makes it feel more like a dessert than a standard glazed option.
Then there’s the Baby Chick Doughnut, which uses an Original Glazed base, dips it in vanilla icing, and adds a chick decoration. It plays into presentation, which is important for a product tied to holidays and sharing.
The Extra Item That Rounds It Out
Some locations and retailers are also offering a Chocolate Iced doughnut topped with spring sprinkles alongside the main trio. It isn’t positioned as part of the core “new” lineup, but it fits naturally with the theme and gives customers a more familiar option if they want something less stylized.
