KitKat Partners With Formula 1 to Release Chocolate Shaped Like an F1 Car
KitKat has expanded its global partnership with Formula 1 by releasing a limited-edition chocolate molded in the shape of a Formula 1 race car. The launch aligns with KitKat’s first full season as the official chocolate partner of Formula 1 in 2026, following an earlier partnership rollout that began during 2025.
This release marks the first time KitKat has produced a chocolate molded into a full vehicle shape. The product uses a milk chocolate shell combined with wafer and crispy cereal elements.
The Partnership Behind The Product
This product is part of a multi-year collaboration between KitKat and Formula 1. The partnership includes race-weekend brand presence, retail promotions, and digital marketing tied to the Formula 1 season and audience.
Initial partnership activity began in select markets during 2025, including promotions in Latin America. In 2026, the collaboration expands into a full global season rollout, with product releases and brand campaigns timed around major races.
One of the earliest large-scale activations connects to the 2026 Formula 1 season opener in Australia, which also aligns with early retail availability for the chocolate car in several regions.

Nestlé research and development teams designed the chocolate car using existing production systems to allow consistent large-scale manufacturing. Engineers focused on maintaining the structure of the molded car while preserving the familiar layered chocolate-and-wafer texture associated with KitKat products.
Chocolate, wafer, and cereal layers were structured to support the molded shape during packaging, shipping, and storage.
Where The Product Is Available
Retail rollout began in January 2026. Initial markets include Australia and several European countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
Additional regions are expected to receive the product later in the year, depending on distribution schedules tied to the racing calendar. Retail formats include a standard single-serve bar size and smaller multipack formats designed for shared consumption or promotional packaging.
How This Fits Into Limited-Edition Product Trends
Limited-edition shapes and themed releases are increasingly common across global snack brands.
Alongside the molded chocolate car, KitKat has introduced other Formula 1-themed products. One example is a marbled KitKat Chunky bar designed to visually reference the motion and speed of racing. Additional limited-edition releases may appear as the partnership continues.
Throughout the 2026 Formula 1 season, the chocolate car and related products are expected to appear in retail promotions, race-linked marketing campaigns, and in-store displays tied to the global racing calendar. The product is both a themed collectible item and a standard retail chocolate product.
