1. Not Washing Your Face In The Morning

Your skin gets in the repair mode when you sleep at night and secretes toxins and sebum. All of this buildup isn’t good for the skin. Hence, you have to make sure to clean your face every day to avoid wrinkles and pimples in the future.

2. Over-Exfoliating

You shouldn’t be harsh to your skin by scrubbing and exfoliating it too aggressively. If you resort to exfoliating too often then your skin might start to age easily and cause wrinkles. You can exfoliate a few nights a week but you shouldn’t go overboard with it.

3. Using A Washcloth

Scrubbing your face or body after a shower or scrubbing your face with a washcloth is a definite no! Washcloths have a rough texture, which acts as an exfoliator, and exfoliation so much is not good for the skin. Just using your hands to wipe your face will save your complexion and also help minimise the laundry load.

4. Using Alkaline Soaps

You might feel clean after washing your face with bar soap but it’s not gentle on the skin and can speed up the ageing process. Using harsh soaps can damage the epidermis and lead to premature wrinkling, acne, inflammation, and larger pores. Binder is used to keep the soap in place and they have a higher pH than your skin, which can cause your skin to get in an alkaline state and result in dryness and ageing.

5. Using Face Wipes

Face wipes can easily remove makeup, dirt, and oil in seconds but they are not good for the skin. Repetitive tugging can cause some serious skin problems such as skin pigmentation and early wrinkling.
