Richard Chamberlain (Born In 1943) – Dr. Kildare

A Beverly Hills, California native with a smile that was made for the screen, Richard Chamberlain is an iconic (and still active) American actor who’s been working in show business since 1958. He’s best known for playing the lead character in the classic series “Dr. Kildare,” but also for his appearances in “Shōgun” and “The Bourne Identity.”

Coming from a different time, Chamberlain waited until 2003 to reveal in his book “Shattered Love: A Memoir” that he was a gay man. Even though he hasn’t been on camera since appearing in the 2020 TV special “Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens,” he is still available for new acting projects.
